TL;DR

I loose items that I crafted or picked up. Show me them so I don't have to use search.

What ?

When the auto-sort is on I can't find where any new item appeared. When I take an item and release it "Q" I loose where it is.
1. In the inventory show most recent crafted or picked up items. For crafted items don't show intermediate items. It may be a green highlight but also a separate section on top of inventory would be good for that.
2. On Q always return the thing you hold to the inventory slot where it was before (when sorting is off or if it's a hotbar item - even not filtered), not the first free slot like it happens now.
3. During an item is held in hand don't put any item in its slot if any other slot is free.

Why ?

Because if you are a new player and didn't get used to how things look like, you have to use search each time, hover over icon of thing and see where it's highlighted in inventory and if it's not check hotbar. It's very frustrating now, really UX breaking thing!
