Self-driving car

So, we have belts for small distances.

We have trains for long distances.

What about a self driving car for medium distances?

I was thinking something along the lines of settings checkpoins for the car.

You could set how much time do you want the car to be on each checkpoint (0 for not stopping).

And pretty much it would work like the train... but without the unconvinient rails.

Perfect for all those small patches of minerals that aren't worth a train, and neither a long belt. Put a mining drill, a chest, and wait for the car to arrive to the checkpoint!

Very useful for oil too! All those distant oil patches can be added to your factory without a long pipe. (pipe-dream minimizes the problem with half-buried pipes though)

Anyway. I'm not even sure if it's possible.

Not quite the same thing, but I'm rather happy about it and want to share. :D

That's pretty neat! I'm going to try it! Although I haven't tried Roadworks yet :P
