My sound doesn't work.
You know how it plays music in the loading screen when you first launch? Well, it didn't, and still doesn't. The sound in my game doesn't work whatsoever. It used to work, but for almost 3 weeks, maybe longer (Can't remember), it hasn't been working.
I asked the r/Factorio community on Reddit for help. They didn't help me much. Nothing that I could've done.
I'm no super tech guy, but I can normally fix the problem. Normally.
I couldn't for the sound, obviously.
Everything else works fine.
All other sound on my PC is fine.
I went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing.
By the way, it might be worth noting that I have it on Steam.
I went to your Known Issues page, and found a bug for sound, but for Linux, and I have no idea what that is. It's different from Windows, right?
Anyway, I have no idea how to fix this.

What is a current log file? I'm pretty sure I told you guys that I'm not a super technical person. I don't know most terms used by you computers. Please give me an example of what that is. And besides, I'm looking for someone who actually wants to fix the problem. Maybe I should just go back to Reddit for answers.

You can find the log file in the folder where you installed the game, its named factorio-current.log

After finding this file and looking inside it myself I think I found the solution to my sound issue. As odd as it sounds the sound was crashing out or something cause of my microphone, so I disabled all my different devices that could be an issue, and it worked! I have sound in the game now!
