A tree that looks like the Tech tree that shows each product and how they are interconnected in the production processes when you click on one of the processes it would be very useful if it showed the practical ratios, this way it is a lot easier to see what kind of productions use the same materials and how many they need for better factory planning.

When I lack an item, consider crafting it by hand and don't have all the ingrediences this would come in handy too.

Instead of showing the recipies direct inputs and the total raw materials a tree/graph could be shown. So instead of telling me I need 20 iron plates it would also show me it needs 5 iron gear wheels as intermediate product. That way I could fetch the intermediate products where available more easily.

While I agree that some kind of implementation of help on ratios would be nice, I don't think that's what the devs want to do. It seems they would like to maintain the charm of having you do arithmetic in your head and use spreadsheets & calculators. At some point, the hand holding becomes too much, whether it is laying out ratios for you or more.
