I have created a two train network (adding more soon) but I don't understand how rail signals work

Have you tried the ingame tutorials ?
Have you tried the train section in the game strategy guide ?

If you have already done all that and still have problems, a screenshot and some explanations on what your problem is would help.

Firstly it's not easy to create a rail network if you don't understand this :

Signal : Create a pattern

Chain signal : listen the next signal

Watch :

First you have a chain signal he watch if the top one is green and the orhter too. If one is red there is a train in this part. The chain signal become blue that will say one of the way could be take

Make 2 way trains .
