I did some research and found out that this happened before.

I found a way to reproduce this. Maybe it could help you nail down the problem.

Steps:

• Set window mode to normal state (not maximized but any size you want)
• Connect to a multiplayer server with some stuff going on (catching up should take longer than your reaction time ^^)
• Wait until the client is "Catching up"
• Maximize the window while client is catching up
• Wait until fully connected (and synced)
• Now the map is black.

I think the game misses the resize while catching up and doesn't recreate the sprites. But I stop guessing and let you guys handle that

Thanks for the report. It's now fixed for the next version of 0.15.
