[0.15.16] Autosaved game freezes program

Thought I would try the new alpha build to try the new features. BTW, looks amazing!! Running into a problem though.
Started with a fresh game (Rail World template), after walking around the area, was about to add Burner Mining Drill. As soon as I Left-Click on the item, the OS freezes.
Try 1:
System info
Fedora 25, Kernel 4.9.14-200.fc25.x86_64
Gnome Shell 3.22.3 w/ Wayland
re Wayland
- Tried if it's possible to run the game under native Wayland instead of XWayland but received an error in doing so.
- Switched to Xorg (echo $WAYLAND_DISPLAY returns "") and freeze still occurs, but does not freeze Gnome Shell. Am able to force close application.
No logs identifies when game freezes, have to force close the application:

^C 135.355 Received SIGINT, shutting down
^C 135.812 Received second SIGINT, terminating immediately
Try 2:
Tried to create a new world map and instantly added a Burner Mining Drill with success.
