As the title tells factorio crashes when selecting on of the tabs when selecting a new signal for a constant combinator.

To reproduce

• - Open the displayed combinator
  - Optionally, remove the iron plate (sometimes makes the crash happen faster, though the error log does not seem to differ)
  - Select the second slot (beside the iron plate)
  - Select a different tab (repeatedly if the game does not crash the first time).

P.S. I find the report of viewtopic.php?t=48590 remarkably similar, it states that it is saved in 0.15.15, but it does not appear in the update logs.

I'd describe it this way:

[0.15.15] Crash on clicking Signals tab

Easily reproduced:

Start game.
Start a sandbox scenario.
Place a chest and stack inserter; wire them together with green wire.
Open the stack inserter UI.
In the comparison section, click the right-hand value.
Select the Signals tab. Game will crash.

Also happens when setting signals in a blueprint.
