green science pack "Total Raw" numbers seem wrong

The "total raw" cost for the green science pack is listed as 8.75 seconds, 1.5 copper, 5.5 iron.
But a green science pack is made from a transport belt (cost: 1 second, 3 iron) and an inserter (cost: 2.25 seconds, 1.5 copper, 4 iron), plus 6 seconds.
(These numbers are all mirrored on the wiki.)
Adding these numbers up I get 9.25 seconds, 7 iron, 1.5 copper.
My best guess for what's happened is that you're doing the calculation as though the green science pack only used half a transport belt.

(Unrelatedly, a lot of the "total raw" numbers would be more useful to me if they broke down even things like processing units. When I go to check the "total raw" cost for high-tech science, it tells me that each high-tech science costs three processing units. The question I'm trying to answer is how many high-tech sciences can I produce from a given copper patch (or how many per minute given a full belt of copper), so "total raw: three processing units" isn't the most useful answer.)
