Fluid storage in train/car entity

I would like to add fluid capacity to a locomotive (not to a wagon), so it gets consumed as the train moves.
The "consume" part will probably be easier, so I only ask for help with the "fluid capacity" part.
Adding total_capacity = x or fluid_capacity = x in the code does nothing.
I tried to add a "mining fluid" to the locomotive, but I couldn't find any mining drill "code" in the base mod.

Any ideas?

Fluid as fuel was promised for 0.14 (now 0.15, because 0.14 was a test to a change in 0.13) as part of the fluid expansion, which was unfortunately left out.

Basically, unless they add fluid fuel support, you can't do it.
