as title says, I suggest to set peaceful mode ON by default in sandbox scenario.
I found an old bug report that you can be attacked in sandbox and I found the same even now.

Or even better biters at all should be disabled.

I don't support this ideas. (Especially the second.)

Sandbox already asks you if you want a chest of items and all researches done, perhaps it could also ask if the player wants peaceful mode?

Yeah, asking is okay, but completely removing them not, because you can't properly test weapons in sandbox without enemy.
