player.character_damage_bonus

I would like a LuaPlayer.character_damage_bonus property that multiplies outgoing damage.

Gun turrets? I am pretty sure those get their own damage bonus separate from the ammo.
That's why they still are ok late game, compared to laser turrets, aside from the range.
~Although new Uranium ammo throws a wrench into that....

Nope, it's all in the ammo damage bonus and ammo shooting speed bonus that the turret uses - which are the above 2 links.

Then why does Gun Turret damage Effect Piercing ammo only when it is placed in a Gun Turret?
I think that the bonus is associated with the Gun turret, not the ammo.
Would make more sense if it effected weapons, actually. Gun turret's built in weapon, and then Tank cannon, SMG, etc.
