[0.15.10] Items dropped when you left-click on Power Armor

When you left click on Power Armor (MK2 in my case) in the armor slot and your inventory is full/close to full, you automatically drop as many items as possible.
I can see how this could be intended, but, if it happens at the wrong time and place it can be absolute chaos.
Is this intended? Has anybody else experienced this?
