[0.15.x][Mac] Textures flash in and out at max zoom

Textures constantly flash in and out of existence occasionally flashing to a black screen when I zoom out and it still rarely happens when zoomed in. This didn't used to happen. I have 1 GB of VRam which should be more than enough. If I turn the Vram setting down to medium the flickering stops but the frame rate goes down to an utter crawl way slower than in 0.14.
