why would you need that though? just rewire the connection to remove the wire.

Really bud?
Try removing 200+ wires from a current setup when you want to do an overhaul and reconfigure...

That's indeed a mess.

Bump,
Devs, can you please look into this suggestion, I'm a rookie trying to learn the ropes of CircNet and all other features surrounding it as I am sure there are many others. It would be awesome if we could move on from either complete deletion (dont wanna do that with 48 full chests of ores) or the tedious point to point click.
TIA, DB

yuh, for some reason I thought this would be in there as would copper wire for the CDO people
Gonna point at picker extended again though (remove all wires from a structure with hover then CTRL+Delete or other keybind) Picker Wire Tool:

Deconstruction planner update

Hi everyone.
When I was going to use deconstruction planner, they missed 3 things in filters.
Exactly I mean wires: copper, red and green.
Think everyone have that same problem when they need to quickly remove those connections.

might have a shot at getting the red+green supported.
wouldn't hold out on copper since they are ignored (outide switches) in blueprints anyway.

Remove (green/red/copper) wires using deconstruction planner

Allow the deconstruction planner to be whitelisted with the different wires to make it easy to disconnect large areas from whichever network one chooses.
Deconstruction Planner / Red & Green Wires

The deconstruction planner should be able to be used to remove just green and/or red wires.
Right now, its very easy to paste new wires & conditions into a fab with the blueprint tool, but I didn‘t find an easy way to remove wires from an existing fab. If its just a few wires its quickly done manually, but if you have a bigger / more complicated setup, we are quickly talking about thousands of wires to be removed.
Sure, you can just deconstruct the fab in question as a whole and rebuild it somewhere else, but especially if it has a lot of filled chests in it, its a mess.

I agree. At this point, I think the deconstruction planner should just have various different features, where you can select it to only deconstruct certain things, like a filter inserter would only pick up certain objects.

It does have most of that, however you can't select red or green wires, nor plain copper wire.
So +1 to the OP's suggestion. And I would like to see copper wire added to the deconstruction planner as well.

Also, if wires could be placed as if they were printed. Not sure how complex of a problem that would be.

It would also be nice to be able to blacklist trees/rocks, so the inverse of the trees/rocks only option. Often I want to remove all my machines from an area near (or containing!) some non-rectangular groups of trees without disturbing the trees. (I generally play with a self imposed rule of try to avoid disturbing trees and build around them instead where practical.)
Use the deconstruction planner to remove the wire

The blueprint can add wires, but the deconstruction planner can't remove the wire. If you need to modify it, it is very troublesome. The wires are connected to chest, the chest is full , and the reconstruction is more troublesome.I can only manually remove the wires one by one, it’s too painful.

Bumping this (instead of making a new thread).
Add regular copper wire as a deconstruction option too.

Good idea.
It would also make fixing wrong wires remotely less troublesome. Currently I remove 1 or 2 combinators and place them down again hoping I got everything they connect to correctly in the update blueprint.

This is possible, just select blacklist along with tress/rocks only.
