I created the following:
- Asymmetric Belt Compression.jpg (231.17 KiB) Viewed 2284 times
It
perfectly compresses the bottom line, but it does not do the same to the top one.
I expected both lines to behave equally, regardless of what that may be.

This is not a setup that would guarantee full compression

Surprisingly, the lower line, at least to my naïve eye, appears to fully compress.

Belts behave differently depending on if they run in the same direction as the update direction or not.

I did not understand this, but it led me to observe that perhaps the reason the top is not compressing is because the plates on the short belt adjacent to the inserter still have to travel the width of the belt in the direction of the top line. With that in mind, then this is expected behavior.
