Hi,
I'm getting constant crashes when trying to start a new game or do almost anything, in both 0.14.23 and 0.15.x
I have tried reinstalling the game, rebooting, and I don't have any mods installed. I've been getting error messages about being unable to intialize the Steam API and a data error about failing to load local achievement data.

On the second redownload/install I can't even load the game, getting an error message saying "Value must be a dicitonary in property tree at ROOT.other"

I looked for a crash log in the appdata folder but all that's in there is:

config
mods
saves
achievements.dat
achievements-modded.dat
crop-cache.dat
factorio-current
factorio-previous
player-data.json

Is one of these the crashlog?
Factorio used to run flawlessly for me for years, so I'm very surprised that all of a sudden it's utterly broken.

Hi, this has been fixed in 0.15.1 ... did you opt into 0.15.0 beta instead of 0.15.x?

You're right, the start up bug disappeared when I moved to 15.1, but the crashing when on clicking on any menu items is still present in every other version available on steam (.14 and .15)

Can you post current log, please? Both of the logs you posted contain the fixed 0.15.0 bug.

Thanks. That is quite strange crash.
If you disable RivaTuner Statistics Server, does it still crash? If so, try to update RivaTuner.

Otherwise you can try to set launch options in Factorio properties in Steam library to

Brilliant, Disabling Rivatuner did solve the problem and updating it to 7.0 actually gives me the stats it's supposed to in factorio without causing any issues. Thank you very much for the support and for the game.
