Fastest way to get from scratch to robots?

I'm a fan of mid-game - now I'm looking for a (un-modded vanilla) shortcut (setup) to get from green science with a minimum setup asap to robots to acquire the necessary stuff (blue science, plastic and sulphuric acid) to setup robots & roboports - in order that they are then setting up a proper production line and refinery e.g.
So to say in a way starting backways

It all comes down to your production of science packs. The only way to get robots asap, is to concentrate on your research.
There's no shortcuts for that. Just very deliberate construction, pushing that research.

The faster you want to research, the more labs you need and the more labs you got, the more science packs you need, so it all ties together.
The only sensible thing you can do is to make sure you're not overproducing any items. Don't fill up chests with items that your science production doesn't immediately need..

I know that - my question is a mini oil setup to get the required plastic and chemical (lube, e.g.) out of a slimmed down (to be deleted later) oil refining setup.

Gotcha.
Maybe somebody has a nice small blueprint for that...

I've created a map for myself a long time ago, where I used the editor to put down chests filled with labs and science packs.
That allowed me to skip most of early game and go straight for a bot-world. Perhaps that's an idea for ya. :)

I usually do the opposite:
As I know exactly, how the final refinery will look like, I start building it the way it can finally stay, just reduce the number of refineries & Chem fabs - Now, that you can already place blueprints early in game, it makes even more sense to place the full fabs plan quite early, and just start with building what you need. A good fab is well scalable anyways.

Still the wiring and connections have to be adapted/ so it's probably easier to setup a small mock refinery to be discarded as soon as robots are active.

Clever!
