[0.15.3] Strange/Inconsistent/Directional Heat Pipe Behavior
Posted: Thu Apr 27, 2017 11:22 pm
I made a reactor setup earlier and mirrored a side. After a while I noticed that the west side was performing worse than the east. So, did a quick test.
Images here.
The setup. 43 heat pipes in a line, connected to one side of a reactor.
Travelling east.
The fourth pipe in the line reads 983.33°C. All other pipes read 1000°C.
Travelling west.
The third pipe reads 983.33°C. All further pipes read 983.33°C.
I didn't bother to screenshot the specifics of north/south. Difficult to capture entirely in screenshot form.
Travelling north.
This is the strangest one of the lot. All pipes are 1000°C. *Except* for these: 2, 9, 16, 20, 21, 28, 33, 34, 36, 38, 40. All of which are 983.33°C.
Travelling south.
At first glance, the direction that seems to work as intended. The pipes connected to heat sources are 1000°C and gradually decrease to 466.67°C at the end of the line. Except for one blip where it goes 700.00°C, 666.67°C, 683.33°C, 666.67°C. And another where it goes 616.67°C, 633.33°C, 616.67°C. And then sticks at 600.00°C for 6 pipes.
