Trying to Join MP: cannot Load Downloaded map

"cannot Load Downloaded map: trying to apply Migration 2016-06-15_factorio_0.13.0.lua (base Mod) while joining multiplayer game"
tried to delete those migration files, still the same error.... Reinstalled, same Error...
I can host Tho, and friends can join. Weird

Is the server you are attempting to join running the correct version of factorio?

Yes, Problem is still there, some servers work, some do not. Cant figure out.... doenst even matter modded / unmodded

You've got extra/garbage files left over from old versions of the game.
If you're on steam delete the steam Factorio folder and verify the game files.

I ran into this issue today on 16.39, and Rseding91's suggested fix worked for me.
I deleted the folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Factorio
Then, to restore that folder in steam I did factorio properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files, which restored all the missing game files I just deleted.
Both me and the hosting player took these steps, so I'm not sure which one fixed it, but after we both relaunched, it let me connect.
