It scrolls the list to center the research you click.

No, it scrolls the list all the way up even if I select a research on the bottom:

Just came on to report this, it's really annoying =/
I would prefer it not centre it at all, I scrolled there and that's where I want it to stay. Autoscrolling is usually disorienting especially when you're not used to the icons.

The left pane isn't meant to scroll at all. The center one (tree) is.
