Long description
This mod introduces glowing capsules that have 3 tiers. The area size and effect duration increases with tier, but so do the required amount of materials and pollution produced when the light glows.
Tier 1: Glowing Capsule
Tier 2: Glowing Capsule MK2
Tier 3: Sun Capsule
(Captured with zoom = 0.1, which is not accessible without command.)

Version .2.1 (Apr 29, 2017):
Multiplied the amount of required heavy oil for making a Sun Capsule by 10 times.
Added support for expensive recipes.
The settings are now sorted.
Version 0.2.0 (Apr 28, 2017):
Updated for Factorio 0.15.
The Glowing Capsule 2 technology now requires military science pack instead of science pack 3.
Due to the absence of alien science pack, the Glowing Capsule 3 technology now requires military science pack and high tech science pack.
Options are added for changing the durations of glowing effects, and also for showing the durations on item descriptions. They are accessible in Options > Mods > Startup.

I want it too. But I don't know how to do it efficiently. That's why I made a request here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=41719#p245202
Maybe one day the devs will implement it. (Uploading to Mod Portal, but it is stuck... )

How long do they last btw? That is kinda important information. I would hope for 5 minutes at minimum. And yes, I know vanilla night is only like 3 minutes, but some mods extend it.

The first one lasts 2 minutes only. MK2 lasts 4 minutes, and the Sun Capsule lasts 20 minutes.
In my test game, I didn't pay attention to their duration, because whenever the effect expired, I just shot another capsule.
But if you think this information is really important, I will add an option to show it in the item descriptions.

At that point, it might make more sense to just make a mod to install lights in your armor.

Howabout a module that gives you a big light radius? It could cost the same amount of power as night vision, it would simply be an alternative option.
I also think that when you unlock modular armor, you should get some modules right away instead of having to make 3+ researches to use the grid.
