Ever wanted to remove those pesky ore patches in the middle of your plans.. Now you can.

Using the waterfill (mod) and landfill together, unwanted ore is a thing of the past. Note: If you waterfill under your feet you will die.
p.s. That stone is now gone from the map view too.

Normal people would use Ore Eraser: https://mods.factorio.com/mods/tergiver/ore-eraser :p

This is so wasteful though.

I prefer to just mine it into a logistics network. The bots will automatically sort it by type and stow it in boxes to be delivered to a passing train so that the material can be utilized.
