Just updated my 0.9.8 version to 0.10.0 and i got this error: There is no package core in Users/user/Desktop/factorio.app/Contents/data.
This also happens when i download 0.9.8 again and when i download 0.10.0 from the website.
I tried resetting everything that is used by Factorio, didn't change anything.
Also, i'm using the mac version and this doesn't happen when i run the program straight from the .dmg.

(no save or screenshots available/needed)

I would really like to know if there is a fix for this, i can't play at all atm

Does your username have special characters in it? If so, try to drag the factorio.app to Applications and launch it from there.

What is the path to your factorio.app by the way, is it the same one as the one the error message is about?

Moving it to applications worked! Very strange but oh well

(The path was indeed correct and my username has no special characters)
