What does this do on infinite? I thought it was size (Distance between enemies) at first but all it seems to do is change lake patterns.

I've been messing with the terrain generator a bit and terrain segmentation seems to be the amount of variation between each type of terrain.
Setting it to a very low value will make, for example, lakes extremely huge. Higher values try to vary and mix terrain types more but make the landscape look like swiss cheese.

For me segmentation is like scale on map. When it's set to very big theres for example more resources in one vein, they're bigger but rarer. The same stands for forests, very small makes forests smaller, but closer to each other. Maybe devs will tell us what's going on with it exactly in the future.

Yes, it is scale.
