When you connect your drill (which produce coal) to burner inserter directly (red arrows on img) and drills will overload inserter with 50 points of coal (blue circle on img) your inserter will stuck in some position (green circle on img) permanently until it have 50 point of coal.


Reproduced each time with different drills.
Same overloading with furnaces (instead of burner inserter) was not success.

I understand that this inserter type used only in early games but this bug was found by my friend in "Factorio demo" when he tried Factorio first time. So if someone face same problem in first game this will be not cool...

However this isn't a bug, The mining drills will insert directly into the entity at their output arrow

Maybe I described situation not very clear but this inserter will stop working at all in conditions that I created.

Yep, sorry i did not read it correctly the first time,

You are right, the inserter does not work when i recreate your scenario

I am really curious what is the code behind that bug.

This is fixed in 0.15
