I feed output of unloading station to loading station.
And found some strange behavior. Loading inserters work with different speed and faster than unloading. Unloading inserters work with same speed.
If found this behavior, too.

With my own words: Inserters, which load a wagon operate sometimes with different speed.
Sorry, I have currently no working example, couldn't reproduce that.

Has anyone an explanation for that? Is it eventually a bug?

In left case bottom inserter slightly faster than top. You can check it if you temporary remove bottom inserter.
When inserters unload wagon left inserter 2 times slower than middle inserter.
When inserters load wagon both inserters work with same speed.

Ah, now I got it: It's the distance from the center of the wagon, which makes them slower!

New question: I thought it is possible to load/unload at diagonal tracks. I never used it before, so when I tested the above I found it to be possible only in horizontal/vertical tracks. I never tested that before. Was it always like that?

Not sure what i'd call this behaviour: Bug or feature? To me it doesn't make sense (the reason is clear, but not the reasoning behind it)
Reason:

Results: (time it took the inserter to move 50 wooden chests, train inserters set to work while wooden chest > 1)

It's quite a difference (items being moved one at a time), 329 items being loaded vs. 292 items unloaded with this odd distribution (you would assume that the yellow underground belt is at least as high as red underground/blue belt)
Too me wagons are nothing but moving/bigger chests and as such i think the loading/unloading rate should be the same. I noticed the same "issue" with assemblers, the inserters taking out the product move to the center, the loading inserters don't. For assemblers it's easily explained: They have (invisible) places where materials get inside, and one output. It's logical: i don't think that e.g. car factories (irl) cram every raw/intermediate product onto one belt and finished cars drive out the factory whereever they want ;) For cargo wagons it doesn't make sense to me.

So, bug or working as intended? I'd say at least unexpected behaviour if not bug.

I think that inserters should unload from each part of the wagon and not just from the center.
