[0.9.8] AutoUpdate scenario pack update failed shell error

Hi,
Just bought the Furnace Attendant pack. Started the game and was asked to download the scenario pack, i did, it downloaded but then it crashed (trying to update the game files i guess) giving me the error "shell execute error 2".
I'm on windows 8.1 pro 64bits and joined a dxdiag if needed.

Shell execute error 2 should mean that the Factorio.exe file is missing in the bin/x64 directory. Can you check, please?

The executable is right there, maybe is it due to the path "Stratégie" ? I joined a screenshot.

That might be the reason. One more idea -- the updater creates file called instructions.json in the Factorio temp directory. If you used zip installer of Factorio, it is right next to the bin directory, otherwise it is somewhere in user data (I can't check, because I don't have a windows machine). The problem is, that this directory gets deleted pretty often, so the file might not be there at all, but if it is, please post it here.
And just so this is clear: You can always fix this kind of issues by downloading the game / scenario pack manually, you don't have to wait for us to fix it

Folder name was the issue just found out i got a directory named "Stratgie" in my games folder ! the "é" has been replaced by an unkown character. I guess the update does not supprot utf-8 or whatever. I will reinstall the game somewhere else to avoid future issue with updates

Thanks for the info, it seems like this bug is caused by the same problem as
https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=3392 .
Moving to duplicates, let's continue solving it in that thread.
