Hello
My Factorio crashes when I want to play in windowed mode with the following error message:
"Unable to create sprite (1280X720) probably not enough of video memory."

The log shows that you've got RivaTuner installed. Do you have the very latest version of that software? If not, try updating it or removing it to see if it fixes the issue.

Code: Select all

10.649 RivaTuner Statistics Server hook detected (rtsshooks64.dll)
You are using software that uses the RivaTuner Statistics Server (e.g. MSI Afterburner or EVGA PrecisionX). Check if it's at the newest version, 6.4.0 or newer. I'm not sure if that's the actual cause here as your log is different and doesn't contain the usual crash when RTSS is the issue. Disabling it completely might also help.

If that doesn't work you can set the launch options in Steam to --force-opengl which should also solve the issue.

To add a follow-up to this, I had the same issue. Adding an application profile in the RTSS configuration for factorio.exe with "None" for the Application Detection Level fixed it, for me.
