(0.9.8)no wire between power line poles

i noticed that when you place power line poles in a forested area that some times the wire between two poles disappears i dont know if this is apart of the game or if its a bug/glitch.

That's hard to say without screenshots
Are the poles transfering power in such scenarion?
Is the wire invisible even at closest zoom level?
Connected poles should have wire in between
Not-connected poles should not have wire in between
any other combination is a bug
