Game crashes whenever I try to load a save

I've been playing a game for 24+ hours total and have loaded it countless times. However yesterday I've gone afk for a while without pausing, ended up overwhelmed by natives and haven't been able to load the latest save ever since. It crashes every time during loading when about 10% is left. I've tried loading autosaves (which are now gone unfortunately) and got the same result. To make the situation even stranger, I had a friend load my save, which went just fine. It didn't crash at all, regardless of the number of attempts. I asked the person to resave that game and send back to me, which unfortunately didn't change anything for me, as the resaved file still crashes the game every time.

I'm attaching the log file (factorio-current.log) and the save itself (CTD Save.zip).

Edit: game is pure vanilla, no mods have ever been used in that playthrough.

Edit2: the playthrough was started on the current version of the game and the version hasn't been changed at all.

Edit3: I'm also uploading an earlier savegame (CTD Save - before crashing) of that playthrough that works just fine.

Edit4: tester person reported that original save (CTD Save.zip) loads fine but crashes after taking few steps to the west from starting position. I'm attaching the crashlog (factorio-current (2).log) for that particular case too. It's worth noting that said person plays from a laptop and thus has custom resolution (1200*720) and presumably crashes ingame after "seeing" whatever the problem is after walking towards it. I myself crash at both 1080 or 768 during loading.

I can't think of any more relevant info that I can add here. Any ideas on what could be causing this would be greately appreciated.

Are you sure your friend is able to load that save completely and it only crashes after taking a few steps?
Because the logfile you uploaded (factorio-current (2).log) contains the exact same error as your own logfile (factorio-current.log), where it crashes during savegame loading while trying to load a tile (tile.cpp (254): Tile::load).

I tried to load your save on 3 different computers (Win7, Win10, Linux Mint) and it also crashes with the same error on everyone of them.
Your save is definitely corrupted somehow. This could be a hardware issue on your PC or there is a bug in Factorio, a developer would have to check your save to find the issue.

Well, that's what the person tells me, and I've been thorough asking questions and giving instructions, so that is most likely correct.

Thanks for your time. With that info in mind I can safely assume the save is gone for good and the issue isn't just mine somehow, so I can just load the previous one and move from there. Again, thanks a lot, I really appreciate your help on this.

Hi, here is the fixed save. Unfortunately we don't know what causes this one (we were not able to confirm memory corruption due to HW issue).

Wow, thank you very much. Words cannot describe my level of appreciation.
