"failed to determine external ip" with hamachi, any help?

Hi everyone
My brother and I bought the game and love it, however we have a problem. I can make a server and get my brother to join without any problems, but my brother cant. He gets the message "failed to determine external ip" and I cant join. We are using hamachi both times. Anyone know what the problem might be?
