Hi
I've played Factorio for 11 hours and it had been running just fine, but after I updated to te latest version it stoped working. It just shows a white window and an error message that says "Unexpected error occured". My steam client and nVidia drivers are up to date. I've looked for similar problems in this forum, but they just don't seem to have a concrete answer for this problem.

Please help, I was really enjoying this game

Here's the file that the error asks me to post:

Hi, according to the log it crashes in DirectSound, so it is audio related.
1.) Try to "verify cache integrity" in Factorio properties in Steam (tab Local Data)
2.) Try to reboot your computer.

I've already tried both, but it stays the same

If you downgrade to 0.14.20 (Factorio properties in Steam, Betas tab, select Factorio 0.14.20 branch) does it still crash?

So something changed on your computer. Do sounds in other applications work fine? You can try to reinstall sound drivers, but I don't really know how to resolve this.

If all fails, you can put attached file to folder where factorio.exe is. It will disable DirectSound so the game should start, but without sounds.

I have no issues with sound in other programs and my drivers are up tu date. Thanks for taking your time, the game is running just fine without sound. I guess I'll just listen to music
