I debated whether this should be a feature request instead, but since it's inconsistent behaviour, I think it's actually a bug or oversight

It doesn't appear to be possible to attach a signal wire to a chain signal. I realise with the nature of chain signals, it may not make a lot of sense to set the signal based on a condition (then again, strange ideas can lead to the most spectacular solutions ), but I can think of situations where it'd be useful to be able to use the signal state for other decision processes.

The chain signal behavior is consistent with many other entities that cannot connect to the circuit network, and there was not any mention of it being connectible
