Hello, i buyed this game less than week ago and already notice that aliens are just epic useles. You just put your MK2 armor with flamethrower and all aliens instantly become a roahes that just autodie without ANY CHANCE to kill you...
Also i found great issue that yellow and red magazines with rigle are become just useles too when big biters appear...

I think it would be great if:
Aliens become more powerfull
Their hives has more HP so you could need help of TANK or at least few friends to make real adventure when you need some resource spot instead of just burn it in MK2armor or stupid tower_rush with 4-5 lazer turrets...

Well this isn't a shoot 'em game, like Minecraft it's not designed to have challenging combat. It's supposed to be about getting your MK2 armour so you can more easily clear room for your outposts. And if you think it's impossible to die in MK2 armour with five shields you haven't tried to explore 2,000 tiles away from starting area ~40 hours into a game lmao.

My suggestions were to heavily increase Spawners' resistances to physical and laser but drastically weaken them to explosives. That way grenades, rockets and cannons become a good way to kill them and you're not shepherded into "duhh I get da combat shot-gun" with the option of upgrading to flamethrower later. There's also numerous topics on reworking weapon balance but the devs don't seem interested =/ AFAIK nobody's had a response yet.

Aliens aren't useless.
They will be in 0.15 though.

Meh I always found it a chore to go get alien artefacts. Made it a bit tedious to skip to MK3 power armour, and if I needed it for research I'd just set up an outpost. After that artefacts just became annoying blue dots all over my map, or clogged up my storage because I was killing spawners faster than I used the artefacts.

And don't even get me started on your mods omg artefacts EVERYWHERE xD
