Don't Remove Ghosts While Mining

I never had too many problems with the base game but I'm currently playing Bob's Mods and the complexity is huge so I'm using blueprints and ghosts to lay some stuff out and I build it in once I'm happy with it, particularly rails.
What I've found is you can lay a ghost over trees which also marks the trees for deconstruction, this is useful to know which trees to mine. However once a tree is mined, the ghost under the tree automatically recognises RMB is being held so the ghost is removed. It's only a minor thing but if it could be adjusted so that if you start mining a tree (or anything really), it will not remove ghost entities until RMB is released and re-pressed over either ground or a ghost.
