Character run speed

Hi guys,
I watched my cousin play this game and loved it so I bought it for myself. I noticed when I played on my computer than my character ran slower than when my cousin was playing on his computer. At first I thought it was just my computer running slow but I checked my fps and I'm maintaining 58-60fps. I installed it on my other friends computer to test it side by side, and on my computer sure enough the character ran slower. Is there some sort of setting I need to change? Thanks!
