80 kb/s map download

So I always have a 80 kb/s map download speed when I try to download the map, from my friend in the USA. (I'm located in The Netherlands).
Anyone knows how to fix this? (Version 0.14.19)

There are SO many reasons for this. I really can't pinpoint a specific reason until you give me some more info, but...
Here are the 2 major reasons.
You have a crappy ISP or Internet Package/Setup.
You're connecting to an overseas server.
SOLUTIONS:
Upgrade your internet package/setup.
DON'T CONNECT TO AN OVERSEAS SERVER!
