Robot Charging Only Building

This would not expand the logistics or construction boundaries; it would only charge the logistics robots. For my want, this would aid boundary transfer of materials between purposefully separate logistics networks. Let's say I have a logistics network to fetch raw minerals and I want to transfer those to a smelting factory. I could put a charging station right at the boundary, and the robots could go back and forth between the two networks with charging stations right there -- no need to revisit a robotport that is far away to charge. Furthermore, the charging station could charge more robots at a time than the roboport since it does not have to house the robots.

I know it's old thread, but still valid suggestion. Also 0.16 compatible mod to the list

really feel like this should be part of the base game. There's no reason to include storage slots for roboports inside things like solar panel/accumulator blueprints. Robots are supposed to just carry things over and come back, not stay in place where they're not needed. I'd also be in favor that it could have slightly smaller areas than roboports, but still provide some.

You can see the fight in the latest FF thread about how effective bots are in tight areas. The only thing that limits their throughput at the moment is the requirement to fit roboports in your production. So this will hopefully never become a part of vanilla game.

It's not about space, no problem if the charging station reserves 4x4 too.
