Is there a way to automatically "insert" solid fuel into stuff that can use it ? Like furnaces ? I started some oil production and noticed if insert a box of solid fuel into a furnace it uses it the same way as coal. Now just to connect a pipe to a furnace and i can forget about faraway coal deposits when an oil patch is nearby
It could be also a useful alternative to coal.

Solid fuel is - as name suggests - solid.
You put oil to chemical plant via pipe, but then inserter takes the solid fuel out of it (like from assembly machine). You can output those cubes onto your coal belt and furnaces will accept them as soon as they burn all coal stored in them.

ooh thank you didn't think about it this way lol
i think it was actually the pipe flange on the output of the chemical plant that gave me false ideas
