Can we have an option to turn the realistic gfx off and use schematic instead? Similar to old versions flat buildings with black outline and solid fill. It would make it better for the eye (you can tell what the building is and what do assemblers assemble at a glance) and make it playable on my laptop again. Not that I don't like the current gfx (it looks pleasant), but when designing I wish something simpler.

This is something that could be done by modding.

I already started doing something like that ... https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =32&t=1184 .. but then I figured out that it would be a lot of work and abandoned the idea

so now I have thread(s) to watch for my desired modification.
