I cant figure out how to fire the shotgun please help

Its the same as all other weapons, spacebar when enemy is near. If you're trying to fire manually(like at a chest or trees) you can target with your mouse and press the c key.

Press q to switch the weapons.
And
Look into your keyboard options to see, which keys you don't know!

Shotguns are different from the gun in that they shoot if you press space, it's a projectile weapon that will hit anything in the direction you are pointing when pressing space, no matter is it's your car, an enemy, a tree, or your chest that contains all the important things.

Ahh fair enough. I've actually never tried shooting without a biter nearby. :p

I swear ! I hit EVERY key and stared at the keybinds in options for like 20 minutes!
YOu miss things more easily I guess when frustrated haha
