[0.9.8] Can't build engine units in the second mission

I totaled my car into a building and I can't make a new one because the car recipe has been changed to use engine parts.
I loaded a save from the second mission in a version from a about a month ago. I built the car in the first mission with iron sticks. Now that it uses engine parts I can't replace it since the technology for them isn't available in the mission.
