Artificial structure instead of landfill

I think that instead of filling in water with landfill to make regular land, there should be some sort of bridge of sorts. Maybe like a dock or boardwalk? That way the structure could still be removed, without allowing the creation of moats. I'm reluctant to use the landfill because it removes water that I can't use later.

Landfill tile, ability to remove landfill

TL;DR
A special landfilled tile that can be removed with mid-game tools to replenish water.
Why?
Landfill is a game breaker in worlds where water is only in the starting area. A lot of things require water, and if it's completely gone, the player's done for. (Worst form of trolling.) Currently, landfill offers a way to softlock the game.
What?
A special landfill tile that is placed on land-filled water tiles. A drill or some other tool that allows it to be removed to regain the water source from underneath. This would make a sort of water fill that can not be used to enclose areas as a defense against aliens.

[Koub] Merged into older topic with same suggestion. I know this has been requested several times, but I have trouble finding the other topics :)

This is not the exact same suggestion, but I agree with the merging.

It is also a solution to this problem to simply remove landfill and enable placing concrete and other types of place-able tiles on water.
I mean, back then when there was tile correction logic, placing concrete over water did not sound like a good idea, but now it does actually.

i know that this might be something that would be nice in vanilla

for a work around that i have used:

Water Well:

and
Explosive Excavation
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Explosive%20Excavation

serve to function better than to use:
Waterfill:

they just need to add water jacks to the base game. they require power, like oil jacks, but unlike oiljacks can be placed anywhere and draw 1 pumps worth of water up.

Those platforms are broken. They can accidentally kill the player. I'm not kidding! You DIE if you mine it from under yourself.

Now it's hardcoded in the game engine.

Even if something like a waterjack were to be added, I'd still prefer to see some kind of artificial structure that can go over water and be removed. It still doesn't make sense to me logically or from a gameplay perspective to deny the ability to remove landfill.

So? You remove the land, you drown, you die. Don't do that. It's realistic. :) But maybe one should be at least smart enough not to do it to oneself. The bots would still get you blueprint platform destruction.

Idea for a new scenarion / subgame in factorio: You are on a map that slowly breaks up. How long can you survive? Could be land erroding into water or breaking apart to become lava or bots taking apart platforms.

Then? Then is the corpse that is floating over the water realistic?! Oh it is... umm...

Drowning takes at least 2 minutes.

Definitely not realistic.
