[0.14.3] Corrupt savefile after shutdown of computer

Hey,
I just shutdown my computer using the sleep button (basically terminating everything, immediately) after I closed factorio. Steam said that Factorio was still running but since the actual Factorio window had closed and I saved my game before that, I paid that no mind. After starting my PC again, I opened factorio and now my savegame cant be opened because "Result too large". (Also my local achievement data is still missing and my settings (except sounds) aren't saving/are missing but that has been like that since this bug report.

The zip with the saved data is corrupted, it cannot be unzipped even in external program, so it is corrupted beyond repair. I am sorry, this happend to you. Do you have autosaves?

As for what is causing it ... we don't know for sure. Once in a while we get report like this, and we suspect it might be Steam Cloud which starts to synchronize saves when a game closes. As Factorio saves are quite large, Steam wasn't able to finish its thing before computer went to sleep. I don't know why would it corrupt the save, but it seems to be common denominator of cases like this. You can disable Steam Cloud for Factorio in Factorio properties in Steam.

Yes, I had autosaves :) The steam cloud thing probably isn't right as I turned it off a while ago, got a corrupted savefile very similiar to this and then turned it back on because it was suggested here. So I guess this is truly 1 / 0 magic then ;)

So this happened to you more than once? Regardless of having Steam Cloud on or off? Now, it is even more puzzling.

Yep, just happened again: Image
This time I had Steam cloud on but my WiFi was off and I also waited for Steam to not say that Factorio is still open before i terminated my laptop. I open Factorio today and ... Magic!
