[14.1-.5] [kovarex] Black screen when joining a paused game. REOPENED

The player who wants to join the game gets a blackscreen, if the host paused the game previously.
to reproduce this bug:
- new hidden game without password
- host pauses game
- new player joins via direct connect (insert server address)
- new player gets a blackscreen
its a minor bug, because the problem can be solved by unpausing the game.

Same here, except on a headless server, and with only one player : a server restart is the only way to unpause.

Also if you join a paused game, you cannot unpause it

(First of all, first post on the forum, your game is amazing guys, GG !!!)
I'm having this issue right now on my dedicated server (headless version), in 14.4, me and my friends could join/leave without any problem yesterday, but I get a blackscreen today when trying to join (with server empty, so I suppose it's the same "paused game" issue).

I joined a few empty server to test this but could not reproduce it.

I am seeing the same issue on a headless server. I cannot get the logs because my friend that runs the server isn't available right now. I will try to get him to post here when he sees my messages though.
As far as I know, the host hasn't paused the game. We are directly connecting to the server though.

Here is the log file for the server supidpants mentioned. The server is running the Windows standalone zip download using a bat file to run through the terminal.

0.14.5 Hi, I tried to join a server "Official Factorio Team Challenge" and received a message "Couldn't establish network communication with server.". Then I tried to connect to any other server and get a black screen

I would assume that the "Team Challenge" server was simply not available at that point in time. I reopened the black screen topic for the second issue and merged your post.

I also have experienced more than once the same phenomenon in 0.14.5.
I have experienced when start a simple multi-play.

Not sure if it helps, but here is another one with this issue. Very strangely, it seems like the game wasn't actually paused... I restarted the server to join and play, and it had two days of gametime! We created this world on Thursday, played the lunch hour, played the Friday lunch hour. Now it's showing that we played for the entire time since... But nobody was actually on the server as best I can tell.
The log is from the headless ubuntu server.
edit: Actually if it happens again, would you like a chance to try it yourself? I might actually be able to grab a VM snapshot with it in this stuck state. At least let you try to connect.

Isn't it just that you have a good/ghost mode outside of the map and see black? Does the chat work?

If this happens, Is not carried out stroke of the catch-up.
This phenomenon is very close to the WIZ4's picture.
By pressing the ESC key, I can open game menu.
but I can't open my inventory by pressing 'E' key.
It is unconfirmed regarding chat by pressing '@' key.
There is also to return to the correct behavior is that the headless server is restarted.
but when this phenomenon is not known occur at any timing.
