[0.13.18] Train plans absurd long route

I started to build a big perimeter wall in my rather large map. Alongside the wall is a long railway so that I can setup a supply train. When I build a second access rail in the north, the train pathfinding chose to go to the first access rail in the south and move all the way around my wall. I marked the desired path green and the actual path red in the following picture:
I also made a screenshot after setting the train to go to one of the north wall segments:
The thing is, when I remove some rail pieces so the train can't go the long way around, it does use the short path!
