Map generator confusion

I seems that the controls are somewhat random.
The worst is the management of the water. I ask for small lakes and get huge ones.
Are there some rules or limits to the number of very big things such that it ignores some and makes them smaller - justy so it can fit in the massive lakes that you did not ask for?
I have attached the hardest map ever generated with small lakes...... What do you think?
