Make night brightness moddable

The night is too bright (on some monitors anyway) and it's very easy to see everything that's going on. So there's no real need for lamps, night vision, etc.

I want to make the night darker so that the game is more interesting. I'm not even talking about changing it in vanilla, I just want to be able to adjust this in my own personal mod.

I've read that this is impossible since the value which determines the ambient light brightness is read-only. That's a problem I've had for over two years, by the way. viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4090

I suggest that this value becomes moddable.

Some mod, which tries this:
viewtopic.php?f=94&t=19959 Gloom 0.2.1 - Night Comes to Factorio

And before this will be implemented, the game needs a monitor-calibration, cause currently every player has it's own opinion to darkness...

Calibrate your monitor. It's nearly pitch dark on mine. Also the ambient light is important, perhaps it's very dark in your room.
