Request/Idea: Unloading Station

(I don't know if it's asked before, did a bit of searching but couldn't find any topic about it)
Since I love building train stations in Factorio, I think they take to much space with the chests and inserters.
Isn't it possible to create an "unloading Station/track" where you can unload the cargo of the wagon.
Example of what I mean:
Idea I have about it:
You can lay tracks close to each other, connecting the unloading points to each other.
they have an exit point that can connect to the other or a transport belt (Bit like the same mechanic as a burner mining drill).
They have a small/medium storage so that the wagon can empty in a good rate, then it can be dropped to the transport belt and make its way to its destination.
